Following my summer apprenticeship at Wolf Trap Opera, I moved to New York City for a semester as part of the inaugural class of UT’s UTNY program, where I was a Production Intern at the Vineyard Theatre. This was also an extremely intensive period, between working full time at the Vineyard, picking up Front of House shifts, taking 18 credit hours of online classes, and overall trying to make the most of my time in the city, but this was one of the most fulfilling experiences I have ever had. As I worked with the Vineyard to produce the Off-Broadway premiere of the acclaimed Is This A Room, I was able to experience another side of production that I am using to supplement my skills as a stage manager and general theatre-maker. This semester made me absolutely certain beyond any doubt that I want to work on Broadway, and I was lucky enough to have many amazing theatrical experiences, including shadowing Mr. Arturo Porazzi, PSM of Come From Away. I truly could not be happier with my time with the Vineyard, and I cannot wait to be back in the city full-time to start my career.
