Armour Design & Fabrication

During my final semester of undergrad at The University of Texas at Austin, I took a class called Armour Design & Fabrication with Costume Technology professor Jim Glavan. Throughout this course, we learned techniques of leatherworking and armour-making to design and create our own sets of leather armour. My pieces were inspired by the myth of Orpheus & Eurydice, and features iconography devoted to nature and music. With 200+ hours poured into this project, I have a whole new appreciation for the work of my costuming colleagues! I am especially proud of the acorn skirt!
